AAMSM offers the premier courses on prolotherapy. It also offers courses on osteopathic manipulative, neural therapy and mesotherapy. The Prolotherapy Lecture Series (PLS) emphasizes history taking, physical examination using palpation, injections on models with fluoroscopic confirmation of needle placement, and the appropriate use of proliferants from blood to platelet rich plasma (PRP). The PLS courses are divided into three levels – Introductory,Intermediate and Advanced – for students with varying degrees of experience and needle-handling skills. The different lecture series levels also offer in-depth study of joint groups requiring increasingly sophisticated needle and palpatory skills for therapeutic treatment.
The manipulation courses are designed to enhance the practitioners’ palpation skills and thereby improve their ability to diagnose and treat somatic joint dysfunctions. These courses are primarily designed for Medical Doctors (M.D). Learning basic manipulative skills helps the physician improve palpatory ability and to safely and effectively perform manipulations to address the causes of back and joint pain. The saying is: “If the joint needs to be manipulated more than four or five times there must be a lax ligament nearby."
The Prolotherapy Lecture Series (PLS) are the premier courses teaching the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and disability. They have been designed to allow you to safely add these billable treatments to your practice.
